Kawartha Child Care Services offers 13 unique early learning and care programs in the City and County of Peterborough. Our programs are all licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services.
Our Peterborough Program is located in St. Peter's Secondary School and offers licensed child care for infants (6 weeks to 18 months), toddlers (18 months to 2.6 years), preschoolers (2.6 to 3.8 years) and JK/SK (3.8 years to 6 years) along with a fun filled summer camp (Camp Discovery for children 6 to 12 yrs).
Kawartha Child Care Services operates 9 School Age Programs for children JK to 12 years in various schools throughout the Peterborough Area. Each program is unique to the school and the neighbourhood, offering before and after school programs daily during the school year. PD day, school holidays and a fun filled summer camp are offered at our Prince of Wales Program.
Our Shamrock Program is a unique rural program located in a historical building in the heart of Ennismore. The Shamrock Program is licensed for children 18 months to 6 years. We offer part days, full days and sporadic care. Shamrock also operates the St. Martin's School Age Program. This licensed school age program offers before and after school, PD day and school holiday care for children 3.8 years to 12 years.
Home Child Care, the original foundation of Kawartha Child Care Services, opened in 1981. We contract caring, qualified, self-employed individuals to provide child care in their own homes for up to 5 children aged 6 weeks to 12 years. These homes are located throughout the City and Country of Peterborough. Home Child Care offers a flexible, intimate service to families with sporadic schedules, working shifts, or who may want a smaller group environment for their children.
